Cris Cyborg Still Open To Combat With Ronda Rousey
Whereas training for her upcoming fight for the UFC featherweight championship against Holly Holm at UFC 219, Cyborg spoke with TMZ about the chances of her fighting Rousey.
Cyborg informed TMZ in September that she did not wish to battle Rousey anymore. Nonetheless, she also said she was open to combating Rousey within the WWE.
“When i wanted to combat her it was as a result of she was at the top of her game and she had all of the arrogance on the earth,” Cyborg stated on the time. “She had not been KO’d twice in a row and some people were truly saying she could beat Floyd Mayweather in a battle. Each of us at the moment are at different chapters in our careers and for me that chapter is completed.”
Last week, Cyborg informed The MMA Hour that she feels a win over Holm can be a win over Rousey.
“I think if I beat Holly I’m gonna beat Ronda the identical day. I feel like that because Holly fought Ronda, and when this combat happened, Dana (White) said if Ronda beat Holly, (her) next fight would be Cyborg, after which Holly stopped Ronda before,” Cyborg mentioned. “Just people assume about, easy.”
Cyborg’s fight for the UFC featherweight championship is scheduled for Dec. 30.
