Um…Steve Harvey’s Got Hair Recommendation
Um…Steve Harvey’s Got Hair Advice
I’ve been identified to chuckle at a Steve Harvey joke every so often. His delivery amuses me. His opinions…not a lot. Actually, it doesn’t actually surprise me when Steve Harvey – or any other comedian, really – says something ignorant.
It isn’t the comedian’s job to be wise, it isn’t the comedian’s job to coach. For essentially the most part they remain fully dedicated to only trying to be humorous, by any means vital. And if you happen to call them out for being ignorant or fallacious, that’s their first line of defense, and you’ll be attacked as having a broken sense of humor. Can you inform that I’ve heard this all before
So once i read this put up over at Honey Brown Sugar – Steve Harvey Doesn’t Like Our Hair – my eyes simply kinda rolled themselves.
I may really care less if Steve Harvey likes my hair to be quite honest. But, yesterday someone delivered to my attention a topic that was discussed on his morning show and i simply had to share it with my girls! From what I understand, the conversation went as follows (Particular thanks to the person who shared this with me!):
A lady called in to ask the guest stylist a hair related question. As a part of her question she mentions she is pure and wears her hair twisted and untwisted for the crinkled look. She wished to know the way to maintain her hair from breaking and how to maintain it moisturized. The guest stylist then proceeds to give her a product recommendation (from the line he was representing, Delicate Sheen).
Steve then throws in the next question: Do you will have a man The caller responds by saying “yes”, he then goes on to ask, “how does he like your hair ”, she then says , “he doesn’t just like the pure look”…. Steve’s response: “I knew it! YOU GONNA LOSE YO’ MAN!” after which they cut to a commercial.
Oh Steve. You of all people ought to be extra sympathetic than that.
I want there was audio of this, as a result of it might add context to the remark. All I can do is speculate as to what Steve Harvey meant to say, or would have continued to say. And in my view – any man who has had a hair journey like Steve Harvey, should be extra sympathetic and appreciative of pure hair.
Sure. Steve Harvey natural hair hair pieces has had a hair journey, and quite a public one. Now he’s bald, and appears good with it! Go ‘head Steve! However let’s not overlook the previous. The web site Bald Outing has achieved an ideal job of making sure that won’t ever happen. (Sure, Bald Outing is precisely what it feels like. Just in case you have been questioning about any of your favourite celebrities!)
Within the 90’s, Steve Harvey was clearly struggling with hair loss – as pictorial proof reveals.
Then for some time he appeared to have the perfect hairline. Too excellent, some may say. So straight. So neat. Like the very microphone he’s holding within the photograph beneath.
Then there was the hat section. Do not forget that Yes indeed. Good times.
I’m not one to speculate, but it’s best to go forward and Google Steve Harvey wig or Steve Harvey hairline and see what comes up. Or check out the Facebook group, Steve Harvey, We know That’s A Wig. Mmmm hmmm. Level made.
Barber to the stars Maurice Manley once informed me that he’s acquired a secret “blending technique” for clients with male sample baldness. It entails specialized trimming, and generally the usage of fill-in hair fibers. Maybe that’s what Steve Harvey was doing – possibly it was by no means a wig. I’m not right here to disparage the man. My level is, Steve Harvey has had his ups and downs with hair and attempting to keep up appearances. wave He is aware of what that appears like. He’s finally chosen to embrace what his hair needed to do in the first place. And i wager he feels freer for having achieved so.
In mild of that, I believe it’s unlucky that he’d really feel the need to come back down on a sister who’d more than likely had a hair journey of her personal, and is free to make her personal hair selections. Telling her she’s gonna lose her man natural hair hair pieces because of how she’s wearing her hair isn’t an enlightening, informed or essentially appropriate message.
So I gotta say from the underside of my heart: Steve Harvey, your response was ignorant and improper. There are stunning black ladies all over the world, who put on their hair kinky, coily, pure and free – and are beloved and in blissful relationships of all kinds. There are so many men that LOVE girls with natural hair!
I want your message to that younger woman had been constructive. She admitted that her man doesn’t like pure hair, and that’s sure to be painful and difficult for her. Instead of constructing her feel dangerous, that was an amazing time so that you can say hey woman, in case your man doesn’t respect your natural magnificence, then he’s obtained a problem. You have to let him know the way that makes you’re feeling. If he really doesn’t like it and refuses to change his thoughts – it is best to talk about that side of the connection and your emotions about it, earlier than you go about changing your appearance simply to satisfy his shallow, appearance primarily based desires. It’s not a pithy 10 second soundbite, however jeez. One thing. Something extra inspiring and clever than what you really mentioned.
However hey. There I’m going once more, having expectations of a deeper message from a comedian.
What’s your view, bellas And – bonus query – what advice should Steve Harvey have given the caller
